Revolver magazine ed amici ricordano Jimmy

In occasione del secondo imminente anniversario dalla scomparsa di Jimmy, Revolver Magazine ha dato la parola ad alcuni amici di Jimmy perchรจ lo ricordassero.

โ€œThis week marks the two-year anniversary of the untimely passing of Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy โ€œthe Revโ€ Sullivan. To mark the occasion, all this week on RevolverMag.com weโ€™ll be bringing you memories of the Rev from his friends in the hard rock and metal community.โ€

Atreyu & Hell or Highwaterโ€™s Brandon Saller:

โ€œJimmy was always more concerned about everyone else than he was with himself. He always wanted everyone to have a good time. He didnโ€™t live in a world where you could be sad or bummed out. He didnโ€™t let that part of life exist for him. He always brought out the good in everything and was always laughing and joking and fucking with you. I just feel so lucky that I got to spend time with the dude and know the dude. I think that anybody that got to is a lucky person.โ€

Street Drum Corpsโ€™ Bobby Alt:

โ€œI remember being on the Vans Warped Tour in 2003 with my band S.T.U.N., walking around in Boise, Idaho, when a little kid with an Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt pulled me over to see them play. Knowing I was a drummer, he had me watch Jimmy play. And boy could Jimmy play.

โ€œPlay on Jimmy, Play on! You will be missed, my friend. He is now with Krupa, Bonham, and Moon, the drumming gods in the sky watching over us! He will be missed by many. Fans, family, and friends.โ€

Papa Roachโ€™s Jacoby Shaddix:

โ€œNot only was he a great and innovative drummer/song writer, he was a leader who truly cared about his band his fans and all his friends. I admire that about him.โ€

Bullet For My Valentineโ€™s Matt Tuck:

โ€œJimmy had a huge amount of love for everyone he met. When weโ€™d go out for drinks, he would always grab you and hug you and kiss you and tell you how much he loved you. Jimmy had a huge passion for living life for however long he was going to be on this earth. It was cut dramatically short, but for the amount of time he was here, rest assured, he had a great time.โ€

HELLYEAH & Panteraโ€™s Vinnie Paul:

โ€œHis music was very challenging and dangerous, but the Rev was always just a down-to-earth guy that was very humble, with no ego. He always treated me with the ultimate respect and I always enjoyed his presence. He was great.โ€

Buckcherryโ€™s Xavier Muriel:

โ€œThe music world lost a great person and musician with the passing of Jimmy โ€˜The Revโ€™ Sullivan. Jimmy brought a stylistic flare to his performance which helped take the band to a very high level at such a young age. I had the honor of touring with him and found the Rev to be a very warm and caring individual and one hell of a drummer. His music and fans were the most important things to him and no matter how big he became, he never lost track. We will miss Jimmy and all of his crazy antics. Most of all, we are all richer for knowing him. Rest in Peace.โ€

Shinedownโ€™s Barry Kerch:

โ€œA true inspiration to all drummers out there. I only knew him personally for a short time, but his legacy will live forever. I personally will miss him dearly and so will the whole drumming community.โ€
