Come molti di voi sapranno, stanotte ci sono gli MTV video music awards 2012. Nessuna nomination per la nostra band ma Yahoo! ha pensato bene di fare una piccola lista dei “best new artist” vinti quasi a “sorpresa” degli ultimi anni. Fra questi ci sono appunto gli Avenged Sevenfold che si portarono a casa il premio nel 2006 vincendo su nomi del calibro di Rihanna, Angels & Airwaves e James Blunt.

Winner: Avenged Sevenfold (2006)
In perhaps the most memorable upset in Best New Artist history, heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold took down Rihanna, Chris Brown, Panic! at the Disco, Angels & Airwaves and James Blunt to scoop the title in 2006. The Californian rockers have capitalized on their loyal fan base, selling over four million albums worldwide and taking their 2010 album “Nightmare” to the top spot of the Billboard 200.
